Midtown's crop of new places includes Melt, an espresso and gelato shop nearLa Feria, and after surviving the long approval process they're celebrating with an opening today. Coffee, gelato, and sweets are available all day. They started serving at 9:00 a.m. and will be open until 9:00 p.m. this evening, so stop by, say hi, and welcome them (officially) to the neighborhood.

In true neighborly spirit, La Feria gave them a shout out on Facebookyesterday evening: "Want to fight the cold with a vengeance? Tell Michigan you're not ready for winter by coming to the opening of Melt! Melt is a Gelato and Coffee Oasis on Cass, two doors north of La Feria. Tomorrow, Tuesday at 9 a.m. is day 1 for our new favorite neighbor. Come out and support."
