Cornetta Lane

As a Place-Based Initiatives Manager, Cornetta Lane is responsible for furthering initiatives to connect local businesses to the campus community, such as Save Your One Card and Save, as well as leading the Detroit Orientation Institute. Cornetta joins us from her work as a cultural entrepreneur. Cornetta developed and currently manages two community storytelling projects: Pedal to Porch (supported by the Knight Foundation) and Dinner for 30 (supported by Community Foundation of Southeast Michigan). She is proud to be a WSU Alum and holds a Bachelor's degree in Near Eastern Studies. She is currently completing her Master's in Community Development at the University of Detroit Mercy.
